In the beautiful chaotic experience that was falling in love Lexie and I discovered something almost by accident that created the trajectory of our life and love. When certain conditions of immersion, intention, and energy are met the deepest connection and joy can flow into the space that has opened up.

We learned this at music festivals, and it’s also where we absorbed an ethos that has become the two halves of the playful love and joy we share – find the energy, and be the energy. In these immersive spaces, we reconnected with the joy we thought being an adult would be when we were children – staying up all night, dancing with our friends, wearing fun outfits, and being carefree and completely in the moment.

There was a depth to our experiences that transcended fun. Through intentionally creating energy and space we’ve been blessed to meet new lifelong friends, connect with each other on the most profound levels, and strengthen friendships in a way that would never have been possible in our ordinary life. We’ve come to realize these things are sacred to us, and are what we most want to share when we join our lives together.

The thought of getting married in a traditional ceremony where we observe traditions for the sake of form was never a consideration. We want our wedding to bring the people we love into our energy, and to create a 3-day container for being in the moment, experiencing play and lightness, and being surrounded by love with amazing music. Depth requires immersion and time. We’ve learned that 3 days is a beautiful amount of time to fully immerse, let day-to-day life fall away, and experience things in a way that might be new to you or it might feel like coming home.
